A comment book is kept at Blaran so that guests can write about their stay. Following are some extracts from the book:
What a spectacular place for us to stay - our first place on our first trip to Scotland! Blaran is a wonderful home with lovely views - we felt so comfortable here. The new kitchen is spectacular - truly a joy to cook in. This whole area of Scotland has magnificent scenery and Blaran was a perfect base for us. We really hate to leave - it was marvellous!
A perfect place to come with children - very well equipped, warm and cosy. So much beautiful scenery here.
We have enjoyed being in this lovely, artistic, comfortable, friendly, efficient home. I loved the pottery and the paintings. We have appreciated the laundry facilities and the dishwasher.
We have enjoyed a restful week in your comfortable cottage. Views quite spectacular from the cottage. Heard the owls in the forest and enjoyed fishing - even by moonlight! (no catches to report!). We look forward to a return visit soon!
Blaran is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities, and is very well placed for touring the West Coast and Islands of Scotland. Three evening fishing trips yielded a number of good eating size brown trout 3/4 lb to 1 lb. One fish was taken, the rest were returned. All parts of the river fished well with larger fish caught in the pool near the far bridge on the spinner.
Blaran. One of the Jewels in the highlands. Have seen many deer, eagles and all sorts of wild birds on our travels.
An idyllic spot - excellent location and a comfortable house. Definitely a perfect place to return to after an energetic walk in the hills.
